Italy at your table

Wine and olive oil from the Podere dell'Angelo estate in the hills above Rimini.

Start with what is on the table

Podere dell'Angelo is the Bianchi family estate in the hills above Rimini, where the vineyards stop and the Adriatic begins. The same ground gives both the wines and an extra virgin olive oil with a protected designation of origin.

Olive oil

Bread. Oil. Almost nothing else

Pour it over warm bread, tomatoes or vegetables straight from the oven. A few drops are enough to begin.

The estate

The people who grow it

The Bianchi family has farmed these hills above Rimini since 1923. The vineyards and olive groves are worked without chemical herbicides, and everything from the 2021 harvest onwards is certified organic.

At the table

Three simple ways

Warm bread

A slice just cut, a few drops of oil and a pinch of salt. Nothing more is needed to see what this oil is.

Tomatoes

Ripe tomatoes, oil, salt and basil. Leave the vinegar out, it covers the light bitterness of the olives.

Roasted vegetables

Pour the oil over them once they are out of the oven. That way both the scent and the pepper stay.
